Spreading the Joy

Spreading the Joy

09 Sep , 2019

The wonderful thing about Christmas is that it is a time for both giving and receiving. Whilst our business is about selling Christmas Trees and accessories it also affords us the opportunity to spread a little joy and provide some benefits to the communities in which we operate.

As in previous years, in 2019 we will be running a programme for schools. In the run up to Christmas, we will be opening a number of pop-up stores across London. We will offer any school nearby, one of our beautiful Christmas Trees, absolutely free. All we ask in return is that parents are informed about us and where we will be located. There are a number of easy ways to do this from featuring us in the school newsletter to placing our flyers in school bags. We’ll also be offering schools the chance to find out more about our trees by providing tutorials to school classes at any one of our stores. You can find out more here (link).

As well as our schools' programme we will continue to help raise money for charities. Last year we raised over £37,000 for charities across the UK from hospitals, education charities and environmental NGOs, to Cancer research organisations. We are passionate believers in our sustainable plantation grown Christmas Trees. One of our favourite charities is Tree Aid. Thanks to our customers, over the last 13 years, we have helped to grow 258,443 trees and this year we hope to hit 300,000. We do this by pledging that for every Christmas Tree that we sell we will grow a tree in the drylands of the Sahel region of Africa via Tree Aid.

Shopping for a Christmas Tree is a traditional and fun day out with the family so make the most of it by visiting one of our pop up stores. If a child’s school is nearby don’t forget to tell them about our schools' programme.
