Our story began in 1995, when brothers Josh and Sam Lyle, then just 15 and 13 years old, came up with the idea of loading an old horsebox with Christmas trees from their family farm in Scotland and making the long journey down to London. Their first pop-up shop in Maida Vale quickly became a neighbourhood favourite, and what started as a small family venture soon blossomed into a trusted name in Christmas.
Over the years, our kilted crew grew, the internet beckoned, and Pines and Needles became synonymous with premium Christmas trees and magical festive experiences. In 2016, we even made headlines when we supplied a Christmas tree to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. the first time the couple were seen together in public. A year later, we expanded further by acquiring The Christmas Forest, strengthening our presence across London.
