Plan Your Christmas Escape!

Plan Your Christmas Escape!

19 Sep , 2018

“Where are you spending Christmas?” That’s a question we guarantee everyone hears more than once a year. Whether it’s small talk or not, it’s a serious question, and one you shouldn’t have waited for someone else to ask you before knowing the answer... Especially not as late as September! However, we can’t expect everyone else to be as prepared as us, especially when it comes to Christmas. So, consider this a little reminder, nudge, or more sensibly a RED ALERTIf you’re thinking about a Christmas escape, you should be planning it now. As always, we’ve got some helpful tips to help you plan your perfect Christmas break!

Should I stay or Should I go?

A Christmas escape doesn’t necessarily mean going abroad; it doesn’t necessarily mean going ANYWHERE! More and more people are opting for the 'staycation' or the ‘at-home break’. Just imagine it, you’ve booked a week off work, the kids are off to the grandparents, or anyone (brave souls) willing to watch them for a few days and there is absolutely nothing you have to do. Bliss. Amongst all the Christmas madness and planning you can indulge in a breather you’ve most certainly earned. That wonderful ‘holiday’ feeling isn’t always because you're somewhere new, sure the Maldives would be nice, but you’ll find you can reach that same holiday feeling wherever you are (well, just about…)

The Romantic Christmas Getaway

Christmas isn’t just about the family, there’s also partners and loved ones to think about. A Christmas getaway is an ideal way to show that person how much they mean to you. It’s almost impossible to go wrong; you can either surprise them before Christmas with a trip (Hint! this is especially good for couples that like to spend the big day with their families, have your own Christmas together prior!). If the Christmas period is too busy for you to get away, then surprise them with flights for a later date! Ask them for their availability but don’t let on! There’s nothing worse than getting tickets for when that special someone is unavailable. There’s not much else to say about the romantic getaway, whether you go near or far your bound to have an unforgettable experience.

The Family Holiday

The family holiday is as relaxed as you make it. “Instead of buying this year let’s just all go on holiday!” Sounds pretty straightforward... Doesn’t it? No family visits to worry about, no presents to worry about, no cooking, no cleaning, what’s not to love? If you usually go abroad why not try something different this year with a Christmas holiday in a beautiful cabin in one of our very own British forests?
