Tower Of London Case Study

The location for this installation was at the historic Tower of London, one of the UK’s most iconic landmarks, where strict conservation and health & safety measures were required throughout. As a globally recognised heritage site attracting millions of visitors each year, the installation needed to enhance the setting without compromising its historic integrity.

The Brief

The Brief

The site demanded a solution that balanced visual impact with sensitivity and strict operational controls.

To install a large outdoor Christmas tree within a sensitive heritage environment, ensuring all works complied with conservation requirements and risk management standards.

The installation needed to be carried out within restricted access hours, minimising disruption to daily operations and visitors, while maintaining a high-quality, traditional aesthetic appropriate to the site. The Christmas tree was to be decorated by their own in-house installation team.

The Solution

The Solution

A 25ft outdoor Christmas tree was delivered and installed using carefully planned logistics suited to a heritage setting. The tree was decorated with warm white LED lighting and finished with classic red and gold decorations to complement the historic surroundings.

We worked with the in-house team to a tight deadline to make sure everything was installed and lit to allow for the decorators to come in on time. The result was a timeless and elegant festive feature that enhanced the visitor experience while respecting the significance of the location.

  • The trees were lit with 25 of our 100 LED connector lights
  • A 40cm lit star was also attached to the top of the 22ft tree
  • The tree was decorated by the in-house instalation team

The installation delivered a striking yet respectful festive feature that enhanced the visitor experience without compromising the integrity of the Tower of London. The tree created a strong seasonal focal point, contributing to the atmosphere of the site during the busiest time of year while meeting all conservation and safety standards.
