Ealing Council Christmas Installation Case Study

Our partnership with Ealing Council began in 2024, when we installed a 14ft Norway Spruce, in 2025 they required a multi-site Christmas tree rollout across the borough to support town centres, local businesses, and community engagement during the festive period.

The goal was to deliver a coordinated, high-visibility programme that created civic pride, increased footfall, and aligned with multiple switch-on events, all within strict public sector requirements.

The Brief

The Brief

Delivering a Christmas programme at council level brings a layer of complexity far beyond a single installation. With multiple locations, stakeholders, and public-facing responsibilities involved, every element must be carefully planned, approved, and executed. Delivering at Council level introduced complexity beyond a single installation:

  • Large-scale rollout across multiple locations
  • Adhearing to RAMS, insurance, and compliance requirements
  • Ensuring the highest standards for public safety
  • Coordinating with simultaneous switch-on events
  • Manage power access and infrastructure across sites

Success depended on delivering a programme that was not just impactful, but low-risk, fully compliant, and tightly managed.

The Solution

The Solution

A coordinated installation of 15 outdoor Christmas trees was delivered across key locations within the borough.

Key features:

  • 14 × 14ft outdoor trees across town centres
  • 1 × 15ft feature tree for a historic landmark
  • Consistent warm white lighting scheme
  • Traditional red and gold decorations on the primary feature tree
  • Full programme management across all sites

Each installation was designed to create maximum visibility in high-footfall areas, while maintaining a consistent and recognisable festive identity across the borough

The Result

The programme delivered a cohesive, borough-wide festive experience that increased visibility and footfall across multiple town centres, supported local businesses during peak trading, created strong community engagement moments, and met all safety, compliance, and operational requirements. It demonstrated how councils can deliver high-impact seasonal programmes at scale, while maintaining control and minimising risk.

  1. Borough-Wide Impact
Rather than a single focal point, the programme created a network of festive destinations, increased visibility across multiple high streets, and wider support for local businesses and communities.

  2. Strong Community Engagement
The installations supported local Christmas switch-on events, community gatherings and celebrations, and a stronger sense of local community pride. In council environments, these moments are key to public perception and engagement.

  3. Coordinated Timing Across Site
Managing multiple installations required detailed programme scheduling, alignment with switch-on event timelines, and efficient deployment of installation teams. Early planning ensured all locations were delivered on time and in sync.
