Why You Should Order Your Tree Early This Year?

Why You Should Order Your Tree Early This Year?

Festive shoppers are being urged to order their Christmas tree earlier than usual this year. A spell of bad weather throughout the year has resulted in fewer quality trees being on sale according to recent reports.

Extreme weather fluctuations, including extreme heat, drought, and heavy rainfall this year have all contributed to the stunted development of Christmas trees in many parts of the UK. Growing a 6 or 7 ft Christmas tree will take anything up to 7 to 10 years to grow to its maturity, and any year of extreme weather can impact growth development. Fortunately, plantations in the North have been less impacted by the extreme weather events.

Thankfully, Santas little elves have once again saved Christmas! The dedicated kilted heroes at Pines and Needles have worked their magic through the year to ensure a healthy supply of premium Christmas trees for 2025.

David Murrell, Operations Director at Pines and Needles, reassures customers:

Customers should know that the trees they receive from our London stores will be full, well-shaped, and of the premium quality they expect.” David continues. “Our Scottish plantations are meticulously appraised and maintained throughout the year to ensure that we only deliver the highest quality Christmas trees."

Appearance and Quality Guaranteed

We confirm that our customers will continue to receive trees that are:

  • Full and dense, developed over a long, natural 10-year growth cycle

  • Well-shaped, due to consistent care throughout cultivation

  • Healthy and vibrant, grown sustainably in Scotland

  • Available in all standard sizes, including premium heights

At Pines and Needles, sustainable growing practices are a priority, supporting both healthy trees and fertile. Our Scottish plantations also provide natural habitats for birds and wildlife, while the company’s cultivation methods ensure that each tree is carefully nurtured at every stage of its development.
